BOC SPECSHIELD 20% carbon dioxide in argon is an advanced, two component shielding gas used for flux and metal cored arc welding of carbon, alloy and stainless steels and for MIG welding of carbon and some alloy steels. This product has been formulated to meet the ever increasing demands of industry and for the wide range of welding consumables now available. This shielding gas has been developed through the regular assessments of shielding gases to ensure its performance matches that required by modern industrial manufacturing methods and the latest in modern electronic welding power sources. It should not be used to MIG weld stainless steel or nickel alloys because of the problems relating to carbon pick-up.
