An independent consumer watchdog Which? report in the summer of 2011 chose the Excel 300 as a ‘Best Buy’ from among 22 UK barbecues tested. Judges said the Outback barbecue’s cooking performance with lava rocks meant “food was moist and tenderâ€, and concluded “it’s also sturdy with a good quality finishâ€.
