Gas Regulators

Why you need a regulator

Why you need a regulator

When using gas cylinders and bottles the exiting gas pressure needs to be controlled. This is done by means of a regulator. Low pressure regulators (LP) operate between approximately 28 & 37 mbars.

Operating presures, colors and the CG ref

High pressure regulators (HP) mainly operate between 0.35 & 4 bar. Normally butane regulators are blue and propane regulators are red. To help you match a regulator to the correct gas bottle or cylinder we have given them a CG reference and added the type of connection. Please contact us for any further information.

Manufacturers and stockists of Gas Regulators

There are many manufacturers of regulators such as Bullfinch, Cavagna, Clesse, Gaslow, Continental, Sievert & Truma and stockists will stock regulators that are different in appearance to those shown in our facility.

Many regulators are common to different suppliers for example a 37 mbar low pressure propane regulator with a POL fitting (CG2) will fit all 47kg cylinders irrespective of supplier. Please note that there are many regulators which have POL fittings for different applications.
